Whilst visiting Manchester I stumbled upon Loake Bros located at number 31 King Street. I was warmly greeted by Chris Hamer who I quickly realised had an intimate knowledge of footwear and a great deal of pride in his profession. I identified the Loake’s I liked and before I was offered a pair to try Chris actually measured my feet, something I had not experienced since being a child! He then swiftly disappeared and returned with a suitable pair of brogues. He then proceeded to ensure that they were an exact fit by inserting an insole just a couple of millimetres thick. I proceeded to purchase several other pairs of formal and casual shoes and the exact same attention was paid to the fitting of each and every pair. I cannot recommend Chris and his colleagues highly enough, I thought good old fashioned service and attention to detail had died a death but Chris proves it has not – exceptional service!
