We raised over £100k for local charities last year!

As much as we love to be your chosen shoe shop, we think its as equally important to give back to the community that has supported us when we’ve needed it. So in 2024 we put together a great fundraising event which helped generate a whopping £101,500 in a single night for charity!

Attended by over 160 people, this event was our Cardiff based “The Brogue goes Beaujolais” – a full day of entertainment, dining and drinks with excellent company. Held on the locally famous ‘Beaujolais Day’ in Cornerstone, Cardiff.  This year we had a comedy routine from Bobby Davro, close quarter magic from Bryan Gunton, and we danced the night away with a live performance from the Voice’s Shellyann!

Hosted by Ex-Welsh international rugby player, Rupert Moon and kicking the auction off we donated 21 pairs of shoes to the auction.  Believe us when we say there were many happy faces in the room!

So with a roaring live auction we managed to raise over £100,000 on the day with match funding from the Jane Hodge Foundation for our two chosen charities, Noah’s Ark, the nations only Children’s hospital & City Hospice, a local Cardiff Hospice that supports patients and families during the toughest times. We hold both charities close to our hearts and have first hand witnessed their life changing services, so giving back just felt right.

The day was supported by many great businesses however we must give special a mention to Spiro’s catering who provided the venue and catering for the day, Harlequin Print for all the print work, Castell Howell & Terry’s Patisserie for supplying the food for the day and ND John Wines for supplying the wine for the tables. What this meant to the charities, is that every penny raised on the day went directly to them and due to the generosity of these sponsors, non of the funds raised to organise the event.

The Brogue Does Beaujolais is an event we like to host yearly, so if you’d like to be a part of next year and help with fund raising, get in touch and we’ll get to work helping those charities that need it.
